The Chappaqua Rotary Club’s New Castle Community Day takes place this year on Saturday, September 20 from 11am to 4pm at the Chappaqua Train Station. There will be rides for the kids, games and entertainment, free books from the library and information about the many organizations and services available to the community. The Sustainability Action Committee will offer info about Energize New Castle. Over 500 Homes in Northern Westchester have been Energized, 57 of these homes are in New Castle!
Confidential Paper Shredding is also being offered! Come visit the mobile shredding vehicle being offered to New Castle residents on New Castle Community Day on September 20th.
The theme for this year’s Community Day is End Polio Now. A joint initiative from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Rotary International Foundation, End Polio Now is a critical program directed to the cause of eradicating polio from the world. Only one other human disease, smallpox, has ever been eradicated. The Rotary Club of Chappaqua hopes that everyone will join the fight to rid the world of this crippling disease. Information and donation cards will be available at The Chappaqua Rotary Club Information and Ticket Booth.
