The launch of Energize Pound Ridge at the Pound Ridge Land Conservancy’s Armstrong House!
Please join us for our launch event on Sunday, September 23 from 3-5pm with a presentation on Pound Ridge’s new home energy efficiency program and available incentives followed by a lovely tour of the Armstong House’s advanced ‘green’ living lifestyle options. Sponsored by the Pound Ridge Sustainability Task force .A brief talk will be given by LEED architect and Cooper Union professor, Dr. John Maddocks. Refreshments will be served.
The Armstrong house is an educational, private facility prototyping a ‘green’ living lifestyle to promote the recognition that land preservation, natural resources protection and habitat conservation are possible through a combination of outright land protection and lifestyle choices. The off-the-grid residence demonstrates that a smaller ecological footprint is possible without having to ‘give-up’ the benefits of modern 21stcentury living.
Located at PRLC’s Armstrong House Education Center, 1361 Old Post Road, Pound Ridge.
